#158-02 BARKEV BABLOUZIAN requesting to purchase approximately 2, 275 sf of
city-owned land (Section 24, Block 9, Lot 15) adjacent to the rear of 43 Highland
Avenue, Newtonville.

Referred to the Real Property Reuse Committee on 5/6/02

Mr. Bablouzian wishes to purchase a 2,275 sf parcel of city-owned land adjacent
to the rear of property he owns at 43 Highland Avenue. The parcel, which the
City has declared surplus, abuts both the municipal parking lot and a private
parking lot to the rear of Austin Street. The petitioner will be asked to get an
independent appraisal. The committee also wants the Planning Department to
analyze the potential build-out for the site, which with the additional 2,275 sf
will total 14,073 sf in a Single Residence 2 zoning district.

Upon a motion by Ald. Salvucci, the committee agreed 4-0 to recommend
waiving the formation of a Joint Advisory Planning Group. A public hearing will
be scheduled for June 25 in accordance with Sec. 2-7(5).
