Mayor Warren Announces
Community Spirit Awards
Mayor Warren recently honored a few of the residents and city employees who helped others during the flood emergency with Community Spirit Awards. “It’s vitally important to recognize people who go above and beyond and display the community spirit we’re really about in Newton,” he said. He thanks these individuals and all the people who helped friends and neighbors through this stressful time.
The Mayor would like to continue to honor members of the community who embody the spirit of the city on a regular basis going forward and he wants to hear from you! Share future stories about a neighbor that helps you out or a stranger’s random act of kindness so we can honor and thank those who make Newton so special.
