DIRECTIONS TO THE NEWTON HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT

FROM ROUTE 128:

Take Exit 20A to Route 9 East. Follow Route 9 East. Go straight through first intersection with lights (Elliot Street). Ignore Newton Centre sign on right. You will see an overhead bridge ahead. Before the bridge is a slight right exit to Newton Centre and Parker Street. Take this right exit. Turn left onto Parker Street. Follow until you can see Newton Centre. You will see a municipal parking lot on the right, then The Learning Express. Take an immediate right after the Learning Express into a driveway into a parking lot. The Health and Human Services Department is the brick building sharing the lot. Enter at side door.

FROM MASS PIKE:

Take Exit 17 and follow signs to Centre Street. On Centre Street you will go straight through several lights at Cabot Street, Ward Street and Commonwealth Avenue and into Newton Centre. At Beacon Street, go straight through light, and get into left lane, up to Y. Take an immediate left into the Learning Express driveway and parking lot. The Health and Human Services Department is the brick building sharing the lot. Enter at side door.

FROM ROUTE 9:

Take Parker Street exit to Newton Centre just before overhead bridge. Follow Parker Street until you can see Newton Centre. You will see a municipal parking lot on the right, then The Learning Express store. Take an immediate right after the Learning Express into a driveway into a parking lot. The Health and Human Services Department is the brick building sharing the lot. Enter at side door.

GENERAL:

The Health and Human Services Department is located near the intersection of Beacon and Centre streets, but is oriented a little more towards Cypress Street, next to Piccadilly Square. For you longtime Newton Residents, it is the old Newton Centre Library. We share the parking lot with Learning Express.
