Newton's Burying Grounds

28th Annual House Tour:
Sunday, May 23, Noon-5pm

Historic Newton proudly celebrates 28 years of touring Newton's homes with the annual House Tour on May 23, 2010.

Take the opportunity to view distinctive homes, innovative renovations, unique additions, and inspiring interior and landscape design. If you're looking for renovation ideas or want to appreciate the beautiful work done in these homes, the House Tour is for you.

This year's tour will feature nine private Newton homes located in several of Newton's historic neighborhoods and villages. It will also feature the 1732 Durant-Kenrick House.

Proceeds from the House Tour benefit Historic Newton and support its many programs and events at the Jackson Homestead and Museum, and throughout the community.

Special this year: We're going Green! Consider taking the tour on your bicycle instead of by car - special bicycle directions and map will be provided. Meet a Bike Newton representative at 11:30am at the Homestead to bike the tour with a leader. Also, check out the "Green Decade" house, with presentations offered by Green Decade/Newton about green building techniques.

Tickets are no longer available online. You may buy them directly at the Jackson Homestead and Museum on the day of the tour. The Museum will open at 10 am for ticket sales, though the houses on the tour do not open until noon. The advance discount is no longer available. Ticket prices are $25 for Historic Newton members, $30 for non-members.
