* The official City of Newton Zoning Map is entitled "City of Newton, Massachusetts, Amendments to Zoning Plans, adopted July 21, 1951, as amended from time to time" (Newton Revised Zoning Ordinance, 2001,
Section 30-4(b).) This set of plans is maintained and kept on file by the City Engineer.

 
* The Zoning Plans filed with the City Engineer and the interpretations of the Zoning Ordinance by the Commissioner of the Inspectional Services Department are the final legal authority for Zoning in the City of Newton.
