Dusk:
There are many factors that enter
into the determination of when dusk is. The Recreation
Department's greatest concern is for the safety of
the general public. Other considerations that are
weighed in the decision are as follows:
the amount of natural light available
the clarity of the water
local weather conditions
the size of the swimming crowd
This makes it very difficult
to pinpoint a specific time each evening
Season
Closing: Crystal Lake will close for the season at Dusk on Sunday 08/22/10
We will make every attempt to stay
open through 08/22/10
however, because of early College entry or beginning
of "Fall" - High School Athletic practices,
if we determine that trained staff are unavailable
to work and we can no longer operate in a safe manner,
we will close Crystal Lake for the season.
