| Mission | To administer the Wetlands Protection Act (MGL Ch. 131, s. 40), the Wetlands Regulations (310 CMR 10.00) and the City of Newton Floodplain Ordinance 22-22 to preserve and protect Newton's wetlands and floodplains.
To acquire properties for the preservation of open space and wildlife protection, to maintain all Conservation Areas in a sound manner, to make the areas accessible to the public and to educate the public about open space issues. |

| Meeting Schedule | Meetings are held in Room 209 7:30 pm at City Hall.Meetings occur once a month, usually on the fourth Thursday (except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and school vacations, when it is moved to the third Thursday). |
