| About the Childcare Commission | The Newton Child Care Commission and Fund's goals are to promote, support and
coordinate the City's child care initiative including: coordination of child care services
to Newton residents, inform parents about child care options; sponsoring a Scholarship
Program for tuition assistance to low and moderate income working parents; referral to
other organizations and agencies as appropriate; child care searches, single parent
support groups; create and make available updated lists of all licensed child care
providers, child care centers and after-school programs; access to free or reduced rate
CPR, first aid and early childhood training for providers; support and advocate for after
school child care programs; assist and educate businesses.
