Death Certificates
After the attending physician prepares and signs the certificate, it is the responsibility of the Funeral Director to file it with the Newton Health Department for verification and, in turn, transmitted to the Office of the City Clerk for permanent recording and filing. Certified copies can be ordered for $10.00 each.
