Genealogical Research
With funding from Newton’s Community Preservation Fund, the City Clerk’s Office is in the process of preserving and conserving its older Birth, Death, and Marriage Indexes. To aid in the preservation of this material, the indexes are being photographed and scanned as they are cleaned, repaired, and conserved. The scans of material prior to 1900 will be made available here on the website for genealogical research as they are completed.
