A colored lithograph of a photographic view taken from the stairway platform at the eastern end of the aqueduct showing the pedestrian walkway with seven children in foreground and a flagpole and waving flag, perhaps painted into the view, on the far right.

The manufacturer's number 214668 appears in the lower right corner of the card front. The full manufacturer's credit runs vertically up the left edge of the card back: "Leighton and Valentine Co., New York City. Printed in United States" and the company's logo is centered atop the divider line, "Quality L & V Co. in a green triangle surrounded by "Famous Throughout the World."

The card is unused and in very good condition with only minor edge and corner wear. The back is clean except for the Jackson Homestead stamp and a smudge along the upper right edge. A date of 1912 or before is assigned on the basis of the Sept. 27, 1912 postmark on a copy of the next card in this series, 214668, a view from the Central Avenue bridge.
