Keywords: Bridges / Aqueducts / Dams, Rivers / Brooks

The Card shows:
A real-photo card that shows a view of Echo Bridge taken from a viewpoint near the east end of the dam at the lower end of the gorge. The view appears to be either an elaborate photomontage or a heavily retouched image. The mill building visible under the arch and the foliage appears to have been painted in, while two boys dressed in knickers fishing from the bank in the foreground have not.

The Eastman Kodak logo, "EKC," worked into the stamp box dates the photographic paper stock used for the card to a period between 1930 and 1950. The boys' short pants indicate a date early in that range, so "about 1933" is assigned. The card is in excellent condition, with a back clean except for "10591" and "$3.00 NRC 419D" in pencil.

Postcard type: Real Photo
Estimated Date of Publication: About 1933
