The Card shows:
A monochrome lithograph of a photographic view of the aqueduct from a viewpoint on the lower dam looking south. The arch frames mill buildings and a large smokestack. The water in the Charles is very low -- a dock on the right bank is high and dry.
The card is obviously a product of the same printing plant that produced the Rotograph cards. The image shows the same fine detail and vignetted edge typical. The caption is in the same typeface, and the back is printed in the same orange ink.
The card's face carries the MNC logo in the lower left corner and the publisher's credit, "Pub. for C. E. Josselyn, Newton, Mass." running vertically down the right edge. Like the MNC card numbered 7569, this one has a three-quarter divided back with the manufacturer's credit running vertically below the dividing line: the MNC logo and "1656. The Metropolitan News Co., Boston, Mass. and Germany."
