The Card shows:
A colored lithograph of a photographic view of the river taken from an elevate viewpoint, perhaps a bridge, above the center of the stream. The bank on the right is heavily wooded, and on the left an open field with a spotted cow looking away from the camera. A bridge crosses the river in the middle distance.

The card is a "three-quarters" divided back, with a credit running vertically down the dividing line: "9743 The Metropolitan Publishing Co., Boston, Mass. and Germany." Vertically up the left edge it says, "Printed in Germany."

The card is unmailed, but carries a message: "It was very kind of you to send the booklet. I appreciate the thought. Am getting along famously. Expect in time to be quite a Sampson. Father and I have been the only sufferers so far. Hope Dick and Mother will escape. Wish you the greatest amount of health, happiness and prosperity. A. M. L." It is excellent condition with a clean back.
