![]() Darius Cobb (1834-1919) Darius Cobb and his twin brother Cyrus both began drawing at an early age and became accomplished painters. They collaborated on projects across the long span of their artistic careers, from the Cambridge Soldiers Monument on the Cambridge Common to large paintings in the Tuileries Apartment Hotel on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston.
While Cyrus eventually became an accomplished sculptor, Darius was best known for his landscapes and portraits. His portrait of Ralph Waldo Emerson hung in the Emerson School in Newton Upper Falls. (More) (Return)
