Notice of increased truck activity on Hull/Lowell Aug 11-14
Residents along Hull and Lowell should expect increased moving truck activity the remainder of this week as today the City has solidified a contract with a firm to remove the remaining surplus furnishings and equipment starting tomorrow, Wed, Aug 11th. The contractor feels they will be complete by Friday, but may need Saturday as a back-up. The hours of load-out will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as all materials need to be completely gone by the end of the weekend.
Access will be through the concrete barriers at the south end of the old school gymnasium as well as the rear access off Hull Street. Police details will be positioned at both access points to assure safe egress. The trucks will be exiting the site via Lowell St and out of the state. This firm exports any useful furnishings to non-profits, aid/relief agencies, and disaster areas.
