NewtonSERVES

A Day of Community Service

Sunday, May 15, 2011
9 am to 4 pm rain or shine!

NewtonSERVES is a day of community service bringing together volunteers of all ages to complete tasks that benefit over 50 non-profit agencies and City of Newton departments. Volunteers work in teams on projects throughout the city, such as cleaning up parks, planting gardens, building and painting school bookshelves, spring cleaning at non-profit organizations and helping our senior citizens.

Do you have a community project you’d like to suggest?  Would you like to volunteer?

Project Registration is now Open!  You may register your project on line now.  Deadline March 29
Volunteer Registration will open April 1.

For more information about NewtonSERVES, please call:  617-796-1540

In 2011, we will expand NewtonSERVES from a one day event to a year-round program that focuses on Newton’s thirteen village centers.  The expanded NewtonSERVES will include participation by the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce, local merchants, neighborhood groups, local non-profits and residents.  If you would like to join a leadership team in your village, please contact Sarah Ecker in the Mayor’s Office at:  secker@newtonma.gov.
